thanks chris.

not time to put that float gear away just yet. after some bushwhacking and finally finding some open water this was the result.

Nice cold steel tank commander...

thanks  cjr really good gloves i got them when they were on sale. they dry quick and are 100% windproof. Fold over mitts come in handy on those colder days as well.

I liked it, he is not advertising photo shopped pictures of his reel to make a sale :)

LOL, not being paid to promote products so no need to show-off the brands.

FYI, rod/reel was placed alongside to get a frame of reference on the size/length of the chromer. :D

we know. never seen such large male that was chrome. all the males i catch that are near that size had turned green. lot of female chromes though.

Sorry bro' wasn't implying that you did not know. :D

Of the 17 steelies landed this past week, i had to take a pic of this torpedo who gave me the best fight and PB so far this year.

And yes all bows this week were pure chromers averaging 6-8 pounds except for this brute. :)

k back to the pictures we go. had no time to upload more yesterday but here they are
these are shots from me and my buddies, double digits days in January don't come to often

How effective are flesh flies in Ontario? Do you guys fish with them along with beads? Beads and flesh flies are pretty much all I use in the fall for rainbows. Those bows are gluttenous for eggs and flesh.

The beginning of the season you throw fresher colored flesh flies.

Later in the season you use washed our colors...

Not sure about the flies to be honest, but I've used chunks of flesh/innards I found in the water ( pale white, washed out ) and it was effective ;)
