I went to Acquatinie on Fathers day and my boys caught some baby bullhead and I got a perch myself I also seen Crappie and sunfish caught.

Has anyone fished Gibson River I used to go there with my Father and Uncle to fish from shore for Pike a while back you would literally drive into a forest road park your car and fish from the shore just off the highway.

Supposedly trolling shallow water when the water is choppy is also a good idea and often missed tactic. I spoke to some anglers at Bass Pro this weekend and they caught a nice 30" eye near a weed line in shallow water on a get ready willow leaf BASS Spinner!!!!!

Going to my old hunting grounds Buckhorn Lake on Saturday. It has been about 12 - 13 years since I last visited this place. Will take a digital camera with me and hope to have a very eventful day on the the water. Will write a report once back. BTW where should I post the report when done?

Crappy Tire has a deal on matuzo brand lures normally they are 7.99 and now 3.99. Some of these lures work pretty well.

I have seen my uncle catch an eel before at night at promenade park at night that was back when you could be at the park all hours of day and night there was no closures after 10 or 11 pm.

As for bait shops I used to go with my father to a house the guy had a minnows in the back of his house and used to sell them I cannot remember the street name and house numbers. You may want to ask the locals they may know.

I know for a fact there is perch and there is some monster LM BASS in there but for Bass I believe it is strictly catch and release. There is also sunfish. I heard of crappie but never caught a crappie there.

Not surprised about the frog pattern Zara Spook I read an article about Walleyes attacking frog pattern lures due to the fact that they like to feed on frogs during certain seasonal pattern just not sure if this would be the time of year.... Nonetheless you caught a monster congrats!!!!

You cannot avoid catching bass but at least you can do your research and try to use fish specific baits etc one example would be to use bigger lures when going after pike etc. but all in all you cannot avoid unintentionally catching a Bass out of season.
