    April Steelhead

The steel will run whenever conditions are right for them and it's still a bit to early to say for sure. Some Huron tribs didn't get any big pushes until around opener last year, other years the big run was in February. I hear the rapids were hot in June last year for steel. When conditions are...

Coming soon to a location near you...

Seem I am the only one who actually enjoys winter. Maybe people who hate the cold so much shouldn't live in Ontario... I hate bass fishing and sticky weather, bring on the deep freeze! Ice fishing chinooks makes bass fishing seem sooooo lame.

    Holes on Frozen Rivers

Just spud, if it's slack deeper water it's probably decent ice. jigging outfishes roe for us most of the time. You can get double digits through the ice even in the dead of winter and plenty of coho. Sight fishing is incredible sometimes. Landing them can be a challenge. Give it a shot its a blast

    Ice Fishing!

Oh my that just makes me cringe! I don't get whats happening in this picture. Like are they having a BBQ out there? Must be all setup for a photo op, the water doesn't look that deep. Possibly that ice is on a sand bar? Many times I have been fishing while chunks of ice that big or larger...

    CABIN FEVER!

TC is right you don't really need any specialty gear to get out and catch fish. You also don't need a lx9 to catch fish, sometimes a sonar isn't that useful. I have been ice fishing as long as I've been walking and prefer it to open water in some ways. I think everyone should try it
