Nicee fish man !! Ahh the trusted gulp baits, they work so well on anything! killer :( Especially the newer smaller baits, have had some luck using the 2" Gulp Alive Fish Fry (pearl white) for big pond bass, they go nuts for it lol. Did you try any of your larger spinners there efka ? not sure...

Are the clevice (the small item that connects the spinner blade to the wire) that you are using too big for the blades you have on there ? That's a very common problem with building inlines, making sure you have the right size clevices and making sure there's enough space between the blades &...

As you suggested, try using epoxy, and maybe put a very light coat of nail polish to make it even smoother, that might help, if that doesn't work, I would probably get ready to invest in a new reel, was going to suggest a Sedona 2500 FB, but I think you already own one ? I had the same problem...

Never tried for them myself during softwater season, but I would start off by using artificials, tetr totr jigs, rigged w/ gulp, if that doesn't work I would goto my old reliable tactic, 2 way spreader w/ minnows, 1-2 inches off bottom while feeling for light bites.

Just got some more hardware in (pink skirts,1/4 & 3/8 oz. lead heads), built a few already, the one on the bottom still has to be tested, the wide willow blade might weight too much. Here's a pic of what have so far, can't wait to try it out this summer:
