Hate to break this to ya, but it's a snail! There are some large ones around, some introduced European species but I can't remember exactly which one.

amazing weather this afternoon, managed to do some hiking/photography here are some pics monarch butterfly, bluegill, deer resting in the shade, hawk soaring in the wind, and a chipmunk

it was a warm one even in the shade today hiking and taking some pics here are some from today. doe deer, young buck deer if you look close you can see the beginning of his antlers,bugs fighting watched them for awhile, dragonfly and a downy wood pecker

so most of the turtle pics i have shared so far are painted turtles and red-eared sliders anyway i was able to get a couple of shots of this one a blanding's turtle
