if you want to get out let me know you can give my switch rod a try
ya it works extremely well for nymphing because they are most often 11 plus feet some spey rods get up to 16 feet if you want to try maybe at some point we can get together i can bring my 10 ft 7 wt single hand and my switch rod and you can try them both
Oh ok, So this would be the same as the traditional with the added benefit of being able to use 2 handed with the spey technique? It will function fine nymphing etc right?
These questions may seem retarded but I have no clue about this lol, I just dont want to look back on this decision wishing I had bought a different rod
they do tend to be more expensive then single handed rods and theres stigma that its hard to learn i mean it is different but once you figure it out it doesnt take long to learn it for the most part its all based on a modified roll last witch is called a single spey. aa i start a new job next week so its a write off for me too but we can figure something out
ya it is especially on big water
aa thats how i did now i have been bitten by the spey bug now i want a 4 wt spey to toss dry flies on or at lease try to and see if it works and if it doesnt its always a great streamer rod for summer trout on bigger rivers
