    I like fireline crystal on my pin. The line sometimes will bury while fighting a fish ,but one wasted drift will fix that. Floats nice,mends nice and cuts through the wind.

    Milners are one of the best reels you can buy and IMHO head and shoulders above an Islander. But perhaps my Islander was an exception.

    Bushing reels take a while to break in and are not as good as a bearing reel in frog water. If you are going to buy another reel then buy a Milner bearing reel.
