this is r2 the newest kp reel. i sold my series 2 :grin: depends on this particular rod its more forward but most of my other rods its somewhere in the middle. im tryin to adjust on putting it lower to the but section.

cj like i told u for me 8 is fine, then again i use frog hair for my leader. 8 wont cut it for you since u are using drennan. u might have to go up to 10lb if u dont want to blow your leader :neutral: im fine with 8 its the thickest diameter i used since i ran ande last fall if anything im...

if u want peg-its u can go to dollar store or wallmart and buy basting brushes. most i seen are in red color but they work and u will save $

closer to the hook is always better so i'm sure you ratio will increase :wink:

i'll go inch or 2 above the hook no more but even then ive had a few misses or a few fish shake me off. It's part of fishing u can't always get em :smile:
